Sarah Ann Foy Linzy (September 1948-February 2024) was born in Forrest City, Arkansas, and spent much of her life in Champaign, Illinois. She retired from Champaign Unit 4 Schools and was devoted to her family and preserving its stories. Following her passing in February 2024, Sarah Ann Foy Linzy's Negro Cowboys: A Long Journey Looking for My Papa! was completed and published in her honor by her son, Sean Alemayehu Tewodros Giorgis, ensuring that her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
