During research trips – including intensively exploring Scotland during research for Bradt’s Dog-friendly Weekends: Scotland guidebook – she has noticed a marked difference between hotels and attractions that say they are dog-friendly and those that actually are; plenty of places allow dogs inside, but not everywhere really welcomes them.
