Carol Yacht, carol@carolyacht.com, is an educator and author of computer accounting textbooks: Computer Accounting with QuickBooks Online: A Cloud-Based Approach, 2026 Release, and earlier eBook releases and print editions; Computer Accounting Essentials with QuickBooks 2021, 10/e; and Computer Accounting with Sage, 21e (formerly Peachtree). Carol taught at California State University--Los Angeles, West Los Angeles College, Yavapai College, and Beverly Hills High School. She started using accounting software in her classes in 1980. Carol's teaching career includes accounting courses, accounting information systems, and computer accounting. Since 1989, Carol's textbooks have been published by McGraw Hill.

In 2021, Carol received the American Accounting Association's Teaching, Learning and Curriculum section's Lifetime Service Award. Carol served on TLC's research, instructional, and hall of honor award committees, and was the editor of the Accounting Educator. She also served as an officer of the AAA's Two-Year College section. In 2005, she received TYC's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Carol is a board member of the Microsoft Dynamics Academic Alliance, worked for IBM Corporation as an education instruction specialist, and works for Intuit and Sage as a consultant. Carol earned an MA degree from California State University--Los Angeles, BS degree from the University of New Mexico, and AS degree from Temple University.
