Niki Daly’s two boys–both illustrators themselves–grew up with this never-before-published book by their father, the illustrious South African children’s illustrator and writer. Niki’s youngest child Leo Daly, author-illustrator of The Giant and the Olive and Brangle, has restored and recolored the illustrations from their originals, faded after several decades.
