Walton R. Collins was the editor of Notre Dame Magazine from 1983 to 1995. A 1951 graduate of Notre Dame, Collins was a career journalist, serving on the staff at The South Bend Tribune for over a decade. He taught writing for 31 years, first at Indiana University Soth Bend and then at Notre Dame.
