Maria Cappello was born in Calabria, in a small town overlooking the Ionian Sea. Her passion is poetry, picture books, cartoons and cats. She lives and works in Perugia, Italy, with her cat Miley. She is a painter, writer and illustrator. She has made and participated in several exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She has attended several courses in creative writing and haiku. Since 2018 she has been illustrating and writing books for children and adults. Her stories are born from imagination, from stories heard and captured, from a feeling that makes her heart smile.
