The author of the book is a minister, serving as a Methodist Church pastor in India and Canada for more than thirty-five
years. He is a faithful servant of God in Jesus Christ. He had been interested in the study of the history of the Methodist Church and its theology. He privately published two books on the early history of the Methodist Church to demonstrate how God was guiding the Methodist movement in Great Britain and North America. He was especially interested in the doctrines of the Methodist Church. He searched to find out how Rev. John Wesley, a founder of the Methodist Church, justified the Twenty-Five Articles of Religion, which laid the foundation of Methodist theology. He selected these articles of faith from the Anglican Church of Britain and prescribed them for the Methodist Church in Great Britain and in North America. Rev. John Wesley upheld these articles of faith on the basis of the Bible. He explained these articles with reference to the word of God. He upheld what was scriptural in them and rejected what was contrary to scripture. He made the Methodist Church a distinctive Protestant denomination. In this way, Rev. John Wesley made the Methodist Church a scriptural Christianity. The author wished to vindicate these articles firstly and mainly on the basis of the word of God, and then he vindicated them on the basis of his books on his fifty-three sermons and other books. This book will help readers to deepen their understanding of the Methodist Church as a scriptural Christianity. The believers in Christian faith should adhere to the doctrines and practices in our modern time.
