Gessford's thesis details the process he took in order to help preserve the precious Chaldean Aramaic language. Gessford starts with his own journey of learning Aramaic and shares why the critically endangered language of Aramaic deserves to be saved. Through a pilot project of teaching Aramaic to an interfaith group in San Diego, California, Gessford demonstrates that teaching can be an effective way to preserve a language. Gessford reveals the mixed measurement data which supports his research. He concludes with a summary of his findings and recommendations for future researchers.
