Long Beach native Gerrie Schipske has written three previous books about her hometown. Schipske served two terms on the Long Beach City Council and has taught at California State University Long Beach for many years. In this book, she combines photographs and narrative that weave a fascinating story of the famous and not-so-famous residents of Long Beach who are buried there.
