Acclaimed actress Isabella Rossellini shares her enthusiasm for raising heritage-breed chickens
In this charming illustrated book, actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini shares her newfound passion for raising chickens. When Isabella's 38 freshly hatched chicks first arrived on her Long Island farm they were indistinguishable. As they began to grow, however, she discovered they were members of a handful of endangered heritage chicken breeds, including Fayoumi, Araucana, and Wyandotte. The chicks' rapid growth and burgeoning social pecking order became such a source of entertainment that Isabella decided to ask renowned portrait photographer Patrice Casanova to photograph them.
